Biography

Simona is an Italian flutist from Brescia. She starts playing the flute at the age of 7 years old. Very soon her flute teacher orients her to the Conservatory of Brescia and in 2009 she enrols in the institution guided by flute professors Walter Guindani and later on Mauro Scappini.

In 2014, at the age of 16, Simona plays as piccolo soloist with the Wind Instrument Orchestra of Cazzago San Martino and in the same year she wins the first price of Bardolino’s National Competition.

After the obtention of the Flute Degree in 2017 she moves to France to pursue her musical formation. She integrates the Regional Conservatory of Rouen Normandy under the tutelage of her flute mentor Jean Christophe Falala and starts an immersive orchestral and chamber activity in collaboration with Opera of Rouen Normandy, the Regional Conservatory of Rouen and the University of Rouen Normandy, where she obtains the Flute Degree in 2020 with the highest mark. 

On that same year she moves to Belgium where she integrates the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of flute professors Baudoin Giaux and Isabelle Bialek and obtains firstly the Flute Bachelor Degree in 2022, with the highest mark, secondly the Flute Master Degree in 2024. Now she continues her further musical development in that same institution with a specialisation in Contemporary music. 

During her musical career she’s able to give concerts in Italy, France, Belgium and China. 

Simona’s interests expand not only to classical flute but also to jazz, rock and pop music.
